It is only my intention to share some information about myself and my family as a reference to those who seek to know more. This is largely due to my genealogy interests where I come across people who may be related or wish to know more about me outside of the direct family connections.

This is all meant to be a bit of fun and a bit of interest. Nothing confidential or of a private nature to those I have shared experiences with will be placed on this site as I respect the privacy of family, friends and associates. Anyone wishing to follow through on specific details should contact me by email or give me a all.

The following describes those areas of personal interest to me.

• Career: I have been working in the computer industry since 1976 when I took on my first "real" job as a trainee computer programmer for what was then known as the "Southern Electricity Authority of Qld" (SEAQ). Since then I have worked in most industries including manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, coal mining, accounting, local government, transport, gaming, e-commerce, health and education. My career has seen me working in systems development, design, IT audit, consulting and project management. Recently I took up the position of Business Development Manager at i4U, a web development and marketing company based here on the Gold Coast. • Family : My greatest claim are my two wonderful children, Jessica (Jess) and Andrew (Drew). They inspire me and restore my faith in all the good one can achieve as a parent. If you wish you can visit my family... see the Family option on the menu

• Genealogy : What started out as a minor interest, has on and off since late the 80's, monopolised my time with considerable satisfaction. I have spent the years tracing my ancestors back along the CAMERON line with considerable success thanks to the extensive information available on this well known Scottish Clan of Achnacarry. To date I have not had so much success with the TOMKINS family line but have not yet given up. On my grandmother's side, my family lines go back to Stavanger in Norway from where Severin Andreassen left last century working his way out to Australia as a cabin boy. • Family Scrapbook - this web site contains a collection of photos that I have collected relating to the family members and their history along with a facility to examine details on all family members history. Refer to the Photo Gallery menu option.
  
  
• Personal interest - I enjoy taking part in life and have a yearning to learn all I can about all that I am involved with. I play a bit of social tennis, I love to go surfing when the weather suits and have always enjoyed any sport around water be it sailing, water skiing, snow skiing or just out on a boat enjoying the day.
